The microphone became a shadow of its former self...

A boom mike shadow makes its presence known - Survivors - A Beginning

A boom mike shadow makes its presence known - and is shown in outline - Survivors - A Beginning

Where are we?: When a group of 'strange people' approach the Grange, Jenny persuades an over-burdened Abby to let others deal with the situation. To the surprise of Arthur and Emma, Abby wanders back into the main courtyard, leaving Greg in sole charge...

What's the goof: The shadow of a 'boom microphone' is clearly visible on the wall behind the gate throughout this scene, and remains in shot as Abby walks back through the gateway.

In real-time, the shadow is far more visible than in any single screen-shot, but a rough outline of the shadow and its position has been added here in red.

As filming of the first series of Survivors continued into June 1975, the problem of equipment shadows cast by bright sunlight would have become a recurrent concern for the crew, but this appears as a rare instance of one sneaking its way on screen.
